Ganiyu Olowu

Ganiyu is a development-driven media research and communications specialist with experience covering civil society advocacy, corporate and culture communication. He has worked on projects involving the UNICEF, FHI/USAID and the European Union (EU)/United Nations Development Programme UNDP. He has worked on business brands like MTN, GSK (Lucozade Boost), MTV Base, PZ, Acer Computer, Pfizer, Heritage Bank, EcoBank, WEMA, Halogen Security. Ganiyu has been involved political communications and research based activities involving Government of the States of Osun and Ogun respectively. He has been actively involved in development initiatives of UNICEF B Office and the Lagos State Government on women, children, health and environment related issues as copy-writer and co-facilitator.

At AFF, Gani’s input is felt across board, in idea generation, project management and execution of key development activities. He is a thorough and analytical research professional who will dig deep to bring out the best before, during and after a project is executed.

Ganiyu holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta (1997) and a Master Degree in Communication Studies (MCS) from Lagos State University (LASU) (2008). He was a 2015 beneficiaries of the prestigious Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa (BMIA) Scholarship simultaneously at the Lagos Business School (LBS) and the University of Lagos.
